Mendi N Safadi, a leader of Israeli Likud Party and chief of International Diplomacy and Public Relations gave a statement in favour of detained Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) leader Aslam chowdhury.
The statement is issued on Monday by his International Diplomacy and Public Relations organisation pointing the news published on blog site of journalist Harun Ur Rashid-‘Harun Voice’.
International Diplomacy and Public Relations of Likud party leader Mendi N Safadi demanded immediate release of BNP leader Aslam Chowdhury and claimed . “Aslam and Mendi was invited by the BJP party in New Delhi.” They also claimed, “Mendi N Safadi has no connection to any intelligence organization.”
BNP Joint Secretary General Aslam Chowdhury was arrested on Sunday afternoon (15.05.16) for his alleged connection with Mossad, the Israeli secret service agency from Bashundara residential area, Dhaka. The row of Mossad connection spreads when Bangladeshi media published some meeting photographs of Aslam and Mendi early of this month.
Following the arrest of Mr Islam(Aslam) Chowdhury and publications the past two weeks,
“Mr. Islam was invited by the Youth of BJP party , as Mr. Mendi Safadi – the head of Safdie Center of International Diplomacy and Political Research.
Mr. Mendi Safadi is a politics who expert on fighting terrorism and international diplomacy invited to lecture and strengthen India and Israel Relationships, and he is no connection to any intelligence organization, and publications in Bangladesh newspapers is incorrect
Mr. Islam(Aslam) Chowdhury was invited because of his support of minority Hindus and living together among nations, and arrest him just because that he Participated in the events by the invitation of the BJP party, is a direct result of the party’s prestige and harm India’s guests.
We demand to immediately release Mr. Islam(Aslam) Chowdhury from arrest, and remove all the restrictions imposed on him and allow him to travel to India to meet with our party leaders.”
Newly appointed BNP Joint Secretary General Aslam Chowdhury is known to be a trusted lieutenant of BNP’s senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman. He is a Chittagong-based businessman. Earlier Aslam was convener of Chittagong north district BNP.
Meanwhile on Monday a Dhaka court placed BNP leader Aslam Chowdhury on a seven-day remand over alleged plot with Israel to topple Bangladesh government.
Metropolitan Magistrate Sarafuzzaman Ansari passed the order after Gulam Robbani, inspector of Detective Branch of Police, produced him before his court with a 10-day remand prayer.
Police said Aslam Chowdhury was hatching conspricy to unseat the present government.
