Four bogus reasons why humiliated teacher is suspended!

Suspension Letter

When Education ministry has been probing teacher Shyamal Kanti Bhakta’s humiliation publically, the school authority ignoring ministry has suspended him showing four reasons.

Shyamal Kanti,   headmaster of Piyar Sattar Latif High School in Narayanganj Bandar Upazila confirmed that he had received a letter signed by Farookul Islam, chairman of the school management committee on Tuesday.

On May 13 in presence of a local MP Selim Osman Hindu headmaster Shyamal Kanti Bhakta was forced to sit-ups holding the ear in public for allegedly making ‘offensive comments’ about religion.

But now it’s clear he did not make any derogatory comments on religion. Shyamal beaten up a student on May 9 and locals used this incident against him.

A three-member committee has been formed to investigate the incident where the headmaste of a Narayanganj school was insulted in presence of a lawmaker.

Terming the incident “unacceptable”, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said he is deeply embarrassed on Monday.

But brushing out the ministry Farukul Islam, chairman of the school managing committee suspended Shyamal Kanti Bhakta. He signed the suspension letter on May 16 and left country for India at the same day. Actually the letter was prepared on May 13 the day when Shyamal Kanti was humiliated.

The suspension letter cites four reasons to suspend the head master-

  1. You give the students corporal punishment.
  2. You took bribe from the job seekers luring them to appoint as school teachers.
  3. You did derogatory comments about religion.
  4. You keep yourself absent from the school without any leave petition and most of the days you are late.
