Violence, hate speech, nudity: 4 steps to report facebook

Facebook is a social media website where you can connect with people from different areas of your life. Occasionally, however, you may come across something that is offensive. When you see something that you think violates the Facebook Terms such as nudity, bullying, graphic violence, or spam, you may wish to report it. Even facebook provides ways to report someone for violating terms even if you do not have a Facebook account.

After reviewing if facebook authorities consider they can remove the post, page or block the account. On Saturday faccebook removed the page “Salahuddin-er Ghora” from which life threat message has been posted to Shyamal Kanti Bhakta, the headmaster of Narayanganj Piyar Sattar Latif High school, Bangladesh.  Some facebook users from Bangladesh repored facebook about this subversive  post and after review facebook authorities removed the page “Salahuddin-er Ghora”.

Facebook said, “We reviewed the page you reported for having suicidal content. Since it is violated our community standard, we removed it.  We let ‘Salahuddin-er Ghora’ know that their page has been removed.

 How you will report inappropriate or abusive things on Facebook

If you want to report something that goes against our Community Standards (ex: nudity, hate speech, violence), use the Report link near the post, photo or comment to report it to us.

If you want to report something that goes against facebook  Community Standards but you don’t have an account or can’t see the content (ex: someone blocked you), you may need to ask a friend to help you.

Remember that you should contact local law enforcement if you ever feel threatened by something you see on Facebook.

Please keep in mind that something you don’t like on Facebook may not go against our Community Standards. Learn how you can avoid content you don’t like on Facebook.

How you will report something on Facebook if you don’t have an account or can’t see it

If you want to report something that goes against our Community Standards but you don’t have an account or can’t see the content (ex: someone blocked you), you may need to ask a friend to help you.

You can ask a friend with an account to report the content using the Report link near the post, photo or comment on Facebook.

To report something yourself, you can fill out this form.

To report a Page:

  1. Go to the Page you want to report.
  2. Click on the Page’s cover photo.
  3. Select Report Page.
  4. Choose the option that best describes the issue and follow the on-screen instructions.

What happens when you report something to Facebook

When something gets reported to facebook, they will review it and remove anything that doesn’t follow theFacebook Community Standards. Facebook doesn’t include any information about the person who filed the report when we reach out to the person responsible.

Please keep in mind that reporting something to facebook doesn’t guarantee that it will be removed. You may see something you don’t like on facebook that doesn’t violate the Facebook Terms.
